Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective 7 November 2026

One plan: R599 a month, or R5,990 a year paid yearly. New workspaces start with a free 14 days trial, no card needed. Cancel any time.

1. Plan and price

The plan page and checkout show the plan, included users and modules, usage limits, price, billing interval and renewal date before you pay. Prices are in South African rand. ZA TechLabs is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. If that changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before VAT is added.

Payments are processed by PayFast. You can pay by card, Instant EFT or the other methods PayFast offers at checkout. Mavecy never sees your card details.

2. Free trial

A new workspace gets a 14 days free trial of the full plan. No card is needed and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. To keep using Mavecy, choose monthly or yearly billing and pay before the trial ends. If you do not, the workspace is paused as described under failed payments.

3. Renewals and changes

4. Cancellation

Cancel by emailing info@mavecy.com from the account owner's email address, with your workspace name. You may also cancel the recurring payment from your PayFast account. We acknowledge your request within 2 business days and confirm the date cancellation takes effect, how long you keep access and any amount still owed.

5. Refunds and payment problems

Send refund requests to info@mavecy.com with your workspace name, the payment reference and the reason. We will assess:

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, PayFast and we let the account owner know, with the amount due and how to pay. When the paid period (or the free trial) ends without payment, the workspace is paused: the account owner can sign in only to pay, and other users cannot sign in. Nothing is deleted while it is paused. You can still ask us for an export by email, and paying restores access straight away. Records are kept as described below.

6. Records after cancellation

For 30 days after a subscription ends you can sign in and download documents, or ask us for a full export (see Security and Data Handling). Live records are deleted or de-identified within 90 days of the subscription ending, except records we must keep by law, such as our own billing records. Backups expire within 30 days after that. Cancelling a subscription and asking for your personal information to be erased are handled separately, according to their different purposes. On request we explain which categories we keep and why.
